Blessing and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for the Newly Renovated HIRAYA Hall

In line with the kick-off activities of the CSU's 12th University Days 2022, Caraga State University President, Dr. Anthony M. Penaso, with the College of Computing and Information Sciences Dean, Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil, led the blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Hiraya Hall, previously the Mechatronics Building, on June 27, 2022.

Also present during the ceremony were the university officials, CCIS research center heads, chairpersons, faculty, and staff.

Hiraya Hall was coined from the ancient Tagalog 'Hiraya Manawari' that figuratively means "reach your dreams."

The Journal of Automation, Computing, Information, and Data Sciences is now accepting original research papers for publication on topics in Automation, Computing, Information, and Data Science. Everyone is welcome to submit an 8-12 pages proposal in IEEE format to on or before June 30, 2022. Further, the submitted proposals shall be subjected to peer-review evaluation and should not have been submitted for review or published elsewhere!

Emerging Possibilities with Solidarity to Diverse Adversities in the Era of New Normal

Association of College of Computing and Information Sciences Students (ACCISS) has conducted the CCIS Days 2022 Celebration from the 4th until the 6th day of May 2022. The celebration includes a virtual and in-person competition (for more details on the competition, visit @acciss on Facebook) with BSCS, BSIS, and BSIT Students.Β 

Curriculum Review of our next Graduate Program offerings!

In pursuit of expanding the college's graduate degree offerings, CCIS conducted the 2-day Graduate Program Curriculum Review and Development on May 5 and 6, 2022, at Lime and Zest, Watergate, Butuan City.

Some of the programs in the pipeline are Doctor in Information Technology (DIT), Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS), and Master in Information Technology (MIS).

Participants of the program contribute their valuable views and comments after the presentation of each draft curriculum.

CCIS onboards New Faculty Members!

It wasΒ the CCIS Onboarding activity for New CCIS Personnel and Reorientation on the CSU Code of Conduct for Government Employees and NBC 461 Guidelines activity on May 4, 2022, at the Pavilion at the Watergate Butuan City.

This activity serves as an orientation to the new CCIS faculty and a refresher on the CSU Code of Conduct for government employees and the NBC guidelines for all other CCIS personnel.

Participants of the event are the teaching, non-teaching personnel of the college and Mr. Raymart L. Teves, HRMS Office Representative.
