In line with the Enhanced National Greening Program of the DENR-Caraga, the project implementors from Caraga State University -College of Computing and Information Sciences participated in the training, workshop, and system roll-out. The system will help the DENR-ENGP Implementations and the 2023-2028 targets on the reforestation plan, particularly on the data management and analysis.
Forester Nonito M. Tamayo, CESO III, Regional Executive Director, delivered his speech to the participants and thanked the CSU for the continuous support and development of the system. Forester Luis P. Gonzaga, the ENGP Regional Coordinator, gave a rationale and overview of the program and stated, “proper data banking and analysis of the documents would enable fast retrieval of records when data is asked from another office using an information system. “
Dr. Junrie B. Matias, VLRC Director and ICTC Project Leader gave an introduction, rationale, and demonstration of the entire system. Major modules which wrap the whole Work and Financial Plan of the NGP were highlighted and demonstrated during his presentation.
The four-day event was held at Almont Inland Resort, Butuan City, from August 16 to 19, 2022. Participants include DENR-NGP Administrators, Personnel and Staff, and Project implementors from CSU that includes project leader, Software Automation Specialist, Document Specialist, and Computer Network Specialist.
